image/jpeg Power failure tonight. Everything is on batteries but I had to whip up a lead acid battery powered led light to last the duration.

I’m amazed at how windy it is here. Just above the fence behind my dad’s house you can see the tops of palm trees, lit up by the  moon. Unfortunately the RAZR phone didn’t catch it too well. The smaller light is the tram stop on the mountain.

Stella’s first foray into the yard at my dad’s house. The other two dogs seem to like her. They’re fine with her occupying whatever bed she wants, and she uses the doggie door happily. The dachshund, Millie, is a little possessive. She’ll take dog treats directly from stella’s mouth, and if stella sees a lonely dog toy on the ground and start to move toward it, millie runs over and pushes stella away. Funny, because stella really doesn’t care… she doesn’t have any toys at home anyway!

Alisa, Julia, Bella and I spent a nice quiet afternoon (after a flurry of phone call craziness to plan the evening festivities) at Codornices park and the Rose Garden. The sun was warm but the shade moved in fast so every few minutes we had to move further east to stay in the light.
